Ways to Serve

Serve at St. Luke UMC

Hospitality Team - At St. Luke UMC, we value hospitality. We believe that we welcome others because Jesus welcomes us. If you are interested helping welcome people during church events, create table scapes, or host our Sunday morning fellowship time, then please contact the church office.

Ushers - Ushers participate in worship services at St. Luke UMC. They welcome people into the space, hand out orders of worship, take up the offering, and guide people to the altar during Holy Communion. If you are interested in being an usher, then please contact the church office.

Greeters - Greeters are present on campus on Sunday mornings and during other St. Luke UMC events. We have greeters at the entrance of each door to welcome people as the come in, and answer any questions that might arise. Our greets help show guests where to go and introduce themselves. If you can smile, then you can be a greeter. Please contact the church office for more information.

Congregational Care - St. Luke UMC congregational care ministry has a number of different ways to get involved. We have a homebound ministry, a grief response team, and so much more. Life is hard, and St. Luke UMC wants to know that you are not alone during the joys or heartbreaks. For more information on how to get involved, please contact the church office.

Children’s Ministry - We have a growing Children’s Ministry at St. Luke UMC, and they are looking for volunteers! Each Sunday during the Sunday school hour, our children’s ministry meets. They also have a number of fun events throughout the year. If you are interested in helping volunteer with the Children’s ministry, then please contact the church office.

Prayer Ministry - Our active Prayer Warriors meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. You’re invited to come pray with this group. There are also boxes around the church to add your request in writing or you can email them by clicking button on left. All prayer requests are confidential.
